Demonstration farm for CIGAS

The ASN Farm Project is one of ASN Upendo Village’s key Client Income Generating Activities (CIGAS). Established to fight poverty and food insecurity, the farm equips families with resources and skills to achieve self-reliance and sustainability.

Our Focus Areas

• Dairy Goats  – Families receive dairy goats that provide nutritious milk, enhance household diets, and generate income through the sale of surplus milk and offspring.
• Poultry  – Small-scale poultry projects support families with a steady source of eggs and meat, creating additional revenue streams.
• Kitchen Gardens  – Training in kitchen gardening empowers households to grow fresh vegetables, improving food security and nutrition.

Impact

The ASN Farm does more than provide food—it empowers families. Beneficiaries learn sustainable farming techniques, reinvest in livestock, and even sell produce to fund education and household needs. The manure from livestock enriches the soil, creating a cycle of productivity and growth.

Guided by God’s promise in Deuteronomy 28:12 — “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty… to bless all the work of your hands.” — the ASN Farm stands as a living testimony that with love (Upendo), small beginnings can grow into abundance.
