Client Income Generating Activities (CIGAS)
Empowering families through livestock, microloans, solar lanterns, beekeeping, and gardening—our IGAs foster economic independence and sustainable livelihoods.
The Client Income Generating Activities (CIGAs) at ASN Upendo Village empower beneficiaries to become self-reliant and break the cycle of poverty. Operating as one of the organization’s key pillars, these initiatives provide skill development, resources, and financial stability to clients in the Naivasha community.
Our CIGAs include:
- Livestock & Farming Support: Distribution of dairy goats, and indigenous chickens to families for income and nutrition.
- Solar Lamps & Seedlings: Provision of solar lamps and tree seedlings to foster sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.
- Interest-Free Microloans: Small, interest-free loans given to vulnerable beneficiaries (e.g., grandmothers, caregivers) to start or grow small businesses, enabling economic empowerment and long-term self-sufficiency.
- Demonstration Garden: A community garden that models sustainable horticultural practices and provides practical training for beneficiaries.
These activities not only provide immediate livelihoods but also nurture resilience, confidence, and a sustainable future for families affected by HIV/AIDS.
