ASN Upendo Village promotes sustainability through solar energy use, tree planting initiatives, and community engagement in environmental stewardship.

At ASN Upendo Village, we believe that caring for the environment is part of our mission to spread love (Upendo) and protect the dignity of future generations. Inspired by Genesis 2:15 — “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it” — we integrate environmental sustainability into our daily work and community programs.

Our Initiatives

• Solar Energy
   Our facilities are powered by solar energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, lowering costs, and ensuring clean, renewable power for healthcare, nutrition, and community services.

• Tree Planting
   We actively engage staff, beneficiaries, schools, and community groups in tree planting campaigns. These efforts combat climate change, restore ecosystems, and provide shade, fruit, and a healthier environment.

• Community Awareness & Engagement
  Through workshops, youth programs, and support groups, we teach the importance of environmental care—instilling values of stewardship, responsibility, and sustainable living.
